About me
Grew up in a small village in Brabant. Then went to discover the world from the city of Tilburg.
There I followed my training as a music teacher and choir conductor. In education I worked with great pleasure for 18 years as a teacher and then I was allowed to develop a Culture BSO in the heart of the city. Then a new adventure in Spain beckoned, where I currently live together with Els. As a modern nomad I am busy developing myself in all kinds of areas. An important part of this way of life is that we have very few things (musical instruments, computers, clothes and a car). I take music with me as an extra language. Furthermore, I increasingly discover that I want to help people in their personal development by listening and occasionally shouting something crazy. Young people and young families in particular are my target group.
Music
Someone once said to me: "You are music". What I am mainly concerned with is that I want to create my own music. This is reflected in composing modern classical pieces (Stabat Mater 2023), making cabaret songs for children (Geluk zit in jestaart!) and adults (Het lichaam van Berrie), translating texts into the Brabant dialect and making new music (Nèjûh wèntûrjas) and writing a song on commission and making a video message of it (Videoseranada). I also love improvising on the accordion (you can find a number of fragments on Soundcloud).
